Every state has their website to pay the challans. But the central government also have a centralised website Echallan Parivahan where you can check your challan status and pay them. If you do not find the pay option against the challan most probably it is moved to court but no worries you still have a chance to pay it online. There are three options to pay your challan.
By using your challan number.
- You can find out your challan number by following the link received as a text message from the traffic department when you received the challan message.
By using your vehicle number and Chassis Number/Engine No.
- Vehicle number is your registration number as well, for the Chassis number you can check your vehicle physically like below. or you can check it on your RC. It can also be found on the Digilocker if you have Digilocker on your phone and have registered your vehicle. same for engine number which can also be found on the vehicle and RC.

By using the DL Number.
- You can also search it by using your Driving licence number.
Payment Process.
Once you fetched your details using one of the above method you will find you challan details as below, if there is any challan is pending against you.
You can pay the challan by clicking on the pay now button if pay now button is not visible and only status button is there, there might be chances that you have missed the deadline to pay the challan online, then check the status of your payment. If payment status shown that your challan is sent to court then you can check you challan on virtual court website or pay it by visiting the physical court.
